军令如山

在马来西亚，军人这职业予人的感觉，就是相当悠闲、没压力的受薪工作。

国家稳定安宁，没有战争，是好事。

我们的军人，虽然平时接受训练，但是似乎也无用武之地。

真的打起仗来，他们的表现还是未知数。

然而，在美国，参军可不是开玩笑的。

随时，会真的被派到最前线作战，随时有生命危险。

战死沙场这词，我们常在中国历史书上看见，却很少与现代联想在一起。

我有一位同龄的美国网友，曾经替美军服役了四年。当时，他参与了阿富汗战争，如今退伍当起健身教练。上过战场的他，显然与一般美国青少年有所不同，人生观也从此改变。他说他的人生梦想就是开一间健身房，结婚生子。很平凡实在的梦想。当一个人与死亡擦身而过，经历了生离死别，到了最后，一切似乎仍然回归到最原始、最平凡的愿望。

有时候，良心与军令会背道而驰。在这一方面，我问他如何取得平衡点，他给予了我一个蛮好的答复。在此分享。

Q : The Afghanistan war was a much debated war internationally. President Bush's decision on attacking was much debated as well. I understand that by joining the Marine, you gained pride, respect, self esteem and shaped you into a better person. Most of you guys joined with the heart to serve the country, but there are times when the attack on a certain country doesn't feel right to you and you don't wana fight that war , yet you are in the military and you cant choose, how do you guys balance out this feeling? Or do you all obey the military instructions without questions? Do you have a choice not to take part in a certain war? Because war isn't always innocent, there could be political objectives behind it.

A : You asked a very good question. Do we have a choice if we want to fight or not. Can we choose not to fight if we feel like what we are doing is wrong. If you are going to be sent to war you are going. No questions asked. You are trained to take orders, follow them, and to kill. That is it. But during war times, there does come 'moments' where you have to choose. Follow the orders that were given to ya, or do what you feel is right. The line is very thin sometimes where your not sure what to do. Whatever happenes you have to live with yourself. What ever decision that ya made, you have to live with it. For better or for worst, you have to live with it. There are always political objectives behind everything that happenes. At the end of the day you just try to be the best man that you can. Treat your friends and people around you the way you want to be treated, love your wife and kids with all ya heart, work hard, and always do the right thing. Everything around you might be a total hell, but if you keep those things in mind you will be an pretty person at the end of the day. Ya there are things that I will have to live with for the rest of my life. But I got to keep on moving. That is how life is. At least I did my 4 years, got out with as little injuries as possible, and I am still alive. =) Not much more I can ask for. Well besides an girlfriend. lol. One dream at a time.

确实，到最后，珍惜身边的家人朋友是能力范围的事，也是让人一生无憾的事。
